In our mountains,
snowfall starts in November and continues into April, yet temperatures are
mild, making for superb conditions. You can often ski Silver Star Mountain
in the morning and golf in the afternoon! Silver Star is a world
class ski destination, with 84 fantastic runs, to suit every skill
level.  The
total vertical drop is 2,500 feet, and there are a total of 1,200 acres of
skittle terrain. Eight lifts (including three quads) ensure that you don't
have to wait in long lineups! Full resort facilities, including several
hotels, condos and restaurants, will ensure your comfort! The Star offers
a variety of special programs, including the famous Silver Star Ski
School. Cross country enthusiasts will enjoy miles of wonderfully
groomed trails, lit for night skiing, and attached to the extensive trail
system in Silver Star Mountain Provincial Park. Snowboarders enjoy the use
of their own snowboard park and half-pipe in Vance Creek.
